Early Neurological Stimulation

The science behind ENS is fascinating!

Early Neurological Stimulation, or ENS, was developed by the military in order to give dogs a superior advantage. It became known as “The Super Dog Program.” ENS is performed once every day, between days 3 and 16 days of life. This specific time period is when ENS provides the most benefits to the puppy. ENS is one of the many protocols that we implement with our puppies that gives extraordinary benefits for the rest of their lives!

IT IS BELIEVED BY EXPERTS THAT IF YOU STIMULATE THE NEUROLOGICAL SYSTEM OF A PUPPY, IT PROVIDES BENEFITS TO THE PUPPY FOR THE REST OF ITS LIFE

Studies show that ENS will benefit, puppy development in 5 ways.

  1. Improved heart rate

  2. Stronger heart beats

  3. Stronger adrenal glands

  4. More tolerance to stress

  5. Greater resistance to disease

The 5 exercises of ENS are:

  1. Tactical stimulation, tickle toes with cotton swab

  2. Hold puppy’s head up

  3. Hold puppy’s head down

  4. Hold in supine position

  5. Thermal stimulation, place puppy on a cool cloth

Each ENS exercise should only last 3-5 seconds. Less is more in this case!
