We are Summerland Goldens located in the rolling hills of southern middle Tennessee. All of our dogs and puppies are registered with the AKC, come from champion bloodlines, and meet the highest quality health standards.

We are Summerland Goldens located in the rolling hills of southern middle Tennessee. “Summerland” comes from friends describing our family farm as God’s country! We have provided our dogs with acres of fenced in areas where they are free to run and play! While they do enjoy exploring the farm they live in our home as a part of our family!
We are passionate about raising our puppies in a way that exposes them to specific stimulation, and socialization, that has a positive impact on the puppies for the rest of their lives! This is an enrichment program that is time-intensive and builds confidence and resilience in our puppies. Not only is it a time-intensive program but also time sensitive. As breeders we have access to your puppy during this critical time period in their lives. And making sure they have the right exposure and socialization during this time is a gift we can only give during their first weeks of life!

ACCREDITATIONS
All of our dogs and puppies are registered with the AKC (American Kennel Club).
Pedigrees can be viewed on the AKC or OFA websites. All of our dogs come from champion bloodlines.
HEALTH TESTING
We work to meet the highest quality health standards for all of dogs. We do that by completing all OFA health clearances, to attain CHIC certifications.
For Golden Retrievers that includes:
Hip Dysplasia One of the Following : OFA Radiographic Hip Evaluation
Penn hip Evaluation (At least 4 months of age)
Elbow Dysplasia OFA Radiographic Elbow Evaluation
ACVO Eye Exam Annual Eye Examinations. Results registered with OFA
Cardiac Evaluation Cardiac Exam by a cardiologist
Our Goldens are also DNA tested for specific diseases that can be passed down genetically. You can find these results on the “Our Dogs” page above or on the OFA website. We are responsible for the health clearances of our dogs, so as a buyer you can have peace of mind about your puppy’s health.
